Women’s Super League Match Preview: Chelsea Ladies vs Everton L.F.C.

Women’s Super League in 2019 starts with a great match between Chelsea Ladies and Everton L.F.C. at Kingsmeadow.

Emma Hayes’s Chelsea team are currently on a run of seven straight wins on the spin without conceding a goal and although they come from the Christmas holidays, their match at home to Everton Ladies on Sunday 6 January, at 2pm, will be the perfect way for Chelsea supporters to fill the post-festive period with great football action.

As a thank you for the incredible support so far this season, the Chelsea Ladies’ are making all the tickets for Chelsea Women versus Everton free of charge.

Still, we are here to predict who will win the 3 points of this intense clash.

On one side, Chelsea Ladies FC seems to be the one with more possibilities to win this clash, after a 5-0 win against Tottenham before ending the year. The performances of Karen Carney and Bethany England rounded a perfect match for the Blues, where Tottenham was completely defenseless.

On the other side, Everton L.F.C. is also in a good mood after winning the Liverpool Derby against the Reds by 1-3.

The goals from Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah in the 2′ and Simone Magill in the 10′ already secured the win to the Toffees, with Liverpool closing distances with one goal of Niamh Fahey 4 minutes later, but another 4 minutes later, Elise Hughes scored the final goal of the match.

Clearly, the Toffees are coming to the Kingsmeadow Stadium without fear. But Chelsea is not going to lend them points easily, with only 5 points behind from the top leaders Arsenal and Manchester City (27 points).

Chelsea or Everton? We’ll need to wait until Sunday to find out who will obtain the 3 points in this match and succeed in the race for the Women’s Super League title this season.
